Meet Tinsel! Tinsel is approximately 5-6 years old and is thought to be an American Staffordshire Mix.
Tinsel is an incredibly sweet girl with a gentle soul. She's had a rough life before this, so we're hoping to find her an understanding and loving family who can give her a peaceful and happy life. She already knows "Sit" and "Down", she takes treats really gently, and we're told she should do well around other dogs & kids as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised. (we do not yet know how she'd do with cats as we're not sure if she's met any yet)
Tinsel appears to be potty trained, but a refresher course may be helpful as she adjusts to the new routine in her new home.
Tinsel is perfect for someone who wants a dog active enough to walk everyday, but cuddly enough to hang out indoors on a dreary day. She's such a lovable girl who can't wait to settle into a loving family of her own!
Tinsel is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $200. We are doing all meet n' greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an adoption application has been approved:

We are by appointment once an adoption application has been approved. Some of our pets are in foster care, so those meets are scheduled by appointment as well.

We are an open-admission, county-run dog shelter that takes in dogs who are stray, surrendered or confiscated. We do partner with other shelters to take transfers whenever we can help. We investigate animal cruelty for all species, and rely on the assistance of other organizations if we have to confiscate any animal that cannot be housed in our shelter.
