Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Say Hello to Ninja!
Ninja is a 7 year old female cat looking for a quiet cozy home and kind human to call her own. Like her namesake, Ninja prefers to keep to the shadows until she feels comfortable approaching on her own terms. A true wallflower, Ninja is looking for that purrfect person who understands her introverted nature, and can give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable on her own. For that special human she offers a quiet and gentle companionship, and a bond to last a lifetime.
Ninja would likely do best in a more quiet, low-traffic home, free from loud noises and frequent movements. If there are children in her forever home she would likely do best with older kiddos who can respect her boundaries and give her space when she needs it.
Ninja has lived with other cats previously, but will need a slow introduction to any new feline friends in her forever home. A slow intro will help ensure that both Ninja and her new cat companion(s) feel safe and comfortable as they adjust to each other`s presence.

All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.
We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at (234) 212-9843 or email at adoptions@summithumane.org, and an adoption counselor will return your message. They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. If we have a match for you and your family, an appointment will be scheduled to meet the animal.
Additional questions can be directed to our adoption team at (234) 212-9843.

More about this shelter
Since 1968, the Humane Society of Summit County (HSSC) has been the trusted caretaker and advocate for Summit County’s victims of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment and stray animals suffering from illness and injury. We employ two full-time Humane Officers who respond to emergency calls, investigate animal cruelty, and, as warranted, prosecute offenders. We protect and care for our community’s abused, discarded, and forgotten animals. We strive every day to rehabilitate our rescued animals, find them great homes, and provide them with bright futures.
