✨ Meet Rico ✨
Rico is a sweet, sensitive little guy who’s still figuring out that the world isn’t such a scary place. He’s estimated to have been born 2/27/2022, weighs around 20 pounds, and we believe he may be a Jack Russell / Weimaraner mix. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, potty trained, and very well-mannered in the house.
Rico would do best in a home with older kids and a calmer environment. He’s a bit of a “one-person kind of dog” and truly bonds deeply once he chooses his human. Right now, he has a strong attachment to men and would likely thrive as a man’s dog. When his person is around, he wants to be right by their side — cuddling, sleeping next to them, and soaking up all the love.
Inside the home, Rico is quiet, respectful, and easy to live with. Outside is another story — he’s still very unsure and fearful when outdoors and tends to bark and rush back to the door. With patience, routine, and reassurance, he should continue to gain confidence, but a securely fenced yard or a calm outdoor setup would be ideal.
Rico is great with cats and doesn’t bother them at all. He has been gentle with kids and allows pets without issues, though he does try to keep to himself and may hide when overwhelmed. He’s not aggressive — just timid and cautious, and he needs someone who understands that trust takes time.

The first step to adopting a pet is to fill out an application to get pre-approved to adopt. Once approved we can setup a meet and greet or you can adopt at any of our events.

We are a foster based rescue, so we do not have specific hours, all our animals are in foster homes. Once approved to we will setup a meet and greet.

We are a 501c3 foster based rescue. We rescue from all over the United States. Our goal is to save as many dogs and cats as possible and place them into foster homes until they are able to be placed into their loving forever homes.
