My name is Rascal. My mother was found in a barn after giving birth to the 12 of us on October 10th. Mama was so exhausted, weak and hungry and most of all scared. Her milk was not even enough for the 12 of us because she had been abandoned and left on her own while we were growing in her tummy, but we nursed anyway just thankful for her warmth and her repeated licking and snuggling to comfort us.
The kind loving Huddleston family found us and contacted Greg King Canine Recovery Dog Rescue for help. Our mom got all the food she needed and even learned to start trusting humans again!
My brothers pick on me because I'm the runt, but I'm getting better at standing up for myself. I promise I will be the best boy that I can if you will let me live with you and I would love to have some toys by myself because I don't get to play with the few that we have very much, because Miss Lindy says we all have to share.
We are now weaned, (Mom says she could not be happier about that) and eating all the puppy food our tummies can hold. All I need is my own person, because the 12 of us have to share 2 people and we have to stay at the farm by ourselves while they are at work. I get very lonesome.
Date of Birth October 10, 2025
The total cost of adoption is $225
Picture and video was taken December 18
Only the $75 transport fee is due to secure transport from our rescue in Texarkana, Texas to one of the 7 locations on our transport route. The $150 adoption fee is not due until you pick him/her up on the transport date at the location you select on the "Transport Roster Form" You also have the option to designate someone else to pick up your pet as long as we know in advance.
If you haven’t yet seen our Facebook Reels of past adoptions and transports, please do so.
The mother dog was a pregnant stray that had her 12 babies in a barn that provided warmth and safety and then food and love once they were discovered. We started NeoPar vaccinations and dewormers at 5 weeks. Puppies receive 3 puppy shots before they are transported. We provide a folder for you to take to your veterinarian when you pick up your puppy with medical records/information.
Dominant breed information is based on physical traits of parents and puppies. Mother dog looks like an Anatolian Shepherd/Kangal Shepherd, possibly Boxer mix and we believe that daddy is a Great Pyrenees.
Greg King Canine Recovery dog rescue is located at 484 Farren Road in Texarkana, Texas 75503. Once a month, we transport all pre-adopted dogs and puppies to the following 7 cities because all of the shelters in our area are kill shelters, so we try to save all that we can by getting them adopted and transporting them to their new homes.
Because it is a 1000 mile transport one way, we have to leave Texarkana, Texas the day before you are scheduled to pick up of your new dog or puppy. I will provide a live Google Map link in order that you may follow our travel progress to pick up at one of these seven locations on our transport route, or if I have to stay at the rescue to care for all of our rescues, I will give you frequent updates of the transport's travel progress.
Please contact me, Latrell King, at 903-280-4233 for adoption questions. Please send a text before calling and then leave a voicemail because I don’t usually have my phone with me when I’m taking care of the puppies, cleaning kennels, feeding, vaccinating, etc. Cell phones are not puppy proof. I will return your call or respond to your message ASAP.
I will explain the process with the approval of your application.

More about this rescue
We are a 501(c)(3) dog rescue in Texarkana, Texas which is in Bowie county. There is such an overwhelming need for rescue in the counties that we serve, because there are no spay/neuter laws in effect and there are so many dogs and puppies that are dumped or they are born without anyone to care for them.
We are foster based because we only have 2 acres and 17 kennel areas here at 484 Farren Rd. There are only 3 of us to love, feed, clean, vaccinate and do everything else that's necessary for God's ONLY creation that gives unconditional love. We always have another 80-100 in foster care that we also provide food and resources for. Our dog food bill alone is approx. $3000 per month and each transport costs $2000 to $2500. Please consider donating to Greg King Canine Recovery. I ask God's wisdom and guidance in the use of every dollar donated.
