Brody found my deck after I was attempting to trap a feral cat with food. He talked to me, rubbed my leg and let me pet him while he was eating. I realized this was a kitty who had lived with someone and either was dumped or got lost. So I decided to trap him and get him fixed and get all his shots. The vet kept him for a week to make sure he was healed and well enough to come back to me. She thinks he's about 3 years old.
Unfortunately, he is FIV+ and I have a FIV negative cat. The vet has advised me not to keep the cats together because if they get in a fight or exchange bodily fluids my cat is at risk. So he is living in a spare bedroom.
Brody is a sweet cat who likes to be brushed and pet. He's very food-motivated. He hasn't been with me long enough for me to know if he wants to be cuddled or held; he loves attention! I've been taking it slowly with him so I dont scare him.
I definitely think he'd be great in an only cat situation or a home with other FIV+ cats.
