My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hercules is a striking, blue eyed 3 year old Husky mix on the smaller side(43 lbs) with a gentle soul who’s still learning to trust the world again.

He is potty trained, crate trained and learning to walk on the leash. He does well in the house at night. He plays well with dogs his size and likes cats.

Loves to do zoomies and run and play in the back yard.

Once he feels safe, Hercules shows his true colors—loyal, loving, and ready to bond deeply with his person. He will thrive with someone who has A calm home, steady routine, and positive reinforcement will help him continue to blossom.

Hercules may take a little time to warm up, but once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll have a loyal companion for life. He’s looking for a family that will give him the patience, love, and guidance he deserves.

Could you be the hero Hercules has been waiting for?

He is located in Houston, TX and can be transported to most states for a $300 fee.

More about this rescue

Hi, I am the founder of Waiting Under the Willow Foundation, also known as W.U.W.F. We work hard at trying to find homes for dogs that are homeless or scheduled to be euthanized at Harris County Animal Shelter. There are so many dog out there that are so loving and deserving of a good home. My hopes is that more people will open their hearts and homes to some of these sweet dogs❤️. Rescue dogs make the best pets!!!
