My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pac, though his name should have been Cheese since he's always cheesin'!

This sweet little nugget is estimated at 5-6 months old and only 20 lbs! It's hard to truly determine the breed of a rescue dog without a DNA test but based on his adorable scrunchy face and tiny size, we would guess there is likely some pittie and chihuahua up in that mix! We anticipate him to stay pocket sized and likely tap out around 35 lbs or so. Don't be mistaken by his small stature-- this boy has a personality that shines right through! He wears a smile like no other and you can't help but to smile when you see him prancing around exploring the world with such confidence and tongue out! Too much cuteness!

Pac is in an amazing foster home where he shares his space and foster family with 5 other dogs, ranging from large to small. Some of his best buds are over triple his size! He is very well rounded and fearless. Not a vocal dog and enjoys the company of anyone and every dog. He is tightening up his leash skills and will be THE PERFECT dog to take around to dog friendly places. He's also small enough to just enjoy life inside a home and running around the house and backyard, but with long enough legs for any adventure seekers that want to go out on hikes. Little, but mighty and limber on his feet and he loves to explore! He will self entertain, but also loves a good snuggle....and don't tell him I said anything, but his favorite way to be held is on his back like a baby. He's been maybe just a teensy bit spoiled!

Pac rides well in a car and will make an amazing copilot. He is crate and potty trained. He is also great at sharing toys, treats and food with the entire pack in his foster home. Total team player! Oh...and he's cat friendly! He also shares his foster home with two cats!

I know I can't resist Pac's contagious smile! If you would like to wake up to this sweet face to brighten your every day, click here to apply → https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/63479d172e02d70b054f22a5

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
