Opie is our goofy and playful little dude!
Opie is a 4 month old, Male, Domestic Short Hair Kitten. His coloring is a handsome shiny black! We love our black kitties 💛 Opie was found in a steel yard of Houston with his sister Onyx. They were just 2 week old kittens when they were found with no momma cat in sight by one of the workers who saved them. Thank Goodness! He called a 3LP member and we got right to work with bottle feeding and nursing them back to health.
Opie is such a fun kitten. His foster mom says it's just like raising a boy 😂 He loves to wrestle with his foster siblings (dogs and cats alike), zoom around the house, and is very adventurous! Opie has got such a big personality you can't help but love him!
Opie does great with other kitties and small dogs as well! He is in a foster home with both and is everyone's favorite playmate.
Available for adoption in NV, UT, ID, OR, WA and British Columbia (BC), Canada (BC adopters must be able to pick-up in Bellingham, WA)! Brought to you by USDA licensed semi-truck transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! Our cats & dogs travel safely in our big green truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and onboard attendants providing 24-hour care.
Opie will receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel). Opie is up to date on vaccines according to age, has received
proper deworming and flea prevention, is microchipped, combo tested, spayed, and comes with a one-month free trial of pet insurance if registered by the adopter with the insurance company.
Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a 30-day trial of pet

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit cat and dog rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of cats and dogs from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption to match them to their purrfect family by having them in foster homes so that we can assess their behaviors, how they decompress in a home, and find out more about their unique personalities.
We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.
Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5-year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program.
