My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Han Solo is a cute and goofy boy! Han absolutely loves affection and is happy when meeting new people, he loves giving kisses and rolling on his back for belly rubs.

He is good with other dogs with proper introductions. Han Solo can be insecure at time so we think the best home for him would be a calm low active household and he would do best with calm to moderate energy and relaxed dogs if there are dogs in the home.
When introducing him to a new dog you will want to do proper introductions, which we can guide you and explain to you how to do so you can set him up for success! He would also do great as an only dog in the home.

He is very smart and a very loyal pup he would make an excellent companion for a lower active home.

Han has cute little, short legs so he would do good with going on short walks, going for car rides, a walk at the park, something not as active so he can keep up.

Han Solo was found as a stray and brought to a overcapacity animal shelter in Pasadena TX. He came in very scared and very confused. He didn’t know why his previous owners abandoned him. We don’t know much about Han Solo’s past since he was found as a stray, but we do know we want to make sure his next family is his forever family!

Han does need potty training which his amazing foster has started potty training him. He does have some leash training to do when on walks that needs some work and he does play bite to get your attention, so we think he would do best in a home with no small children under the age of 10.

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter
services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that often times have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families
who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and
save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
