My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shakespeare is our sweet poet and you didn't even know it! 💛 Until now..

Shakespeare is our 10-11 week old male Black and White tuxedo kitten. He is mainly white with the cutest little black patches!

Shakespeare is an outgoing little guy and is usually the first of his litter to come say hello. He is so affectionate that he'll even sit on your feet and start purring if you’ve got your hands full and can’t pick him up for a cuddle right away. Shakespeare is apart of a little that has been bottled fed since they came into our program at just 1 week old! Him and his litter mates have been lovingly doted on and socialized. They are all very affectionate kittens.

Shakespeare is also a total water baby! When Shakespeare had a bath today he laid down in the sink like he was at a spa!  And when his “mom” takes her bath, Shakspeare tries to jump into the tub. It's so cute! Most kittens/cats do not like water, so when you find a little one that does it is so cute to see!

Shakespeare is super curious, playful and loves to talk! He will meow back at you when you talk to him and even makes eye contact with you. He is a very good conversationalist!  Shakespeare is a total lovebug and his foster’s secret favorite. Shh!

"To adopt.... or to adopt Shakespeare. That is the question." - Shakespeare the kitten 😸

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit cat and dog rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of cats and dogs from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption to match them to their purrfect family by having them in foster homes so that we can assess their behaviors, how they decompress in a home, and find out more about their unique personalities.

We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.

Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5-year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program.

Together, we can be heroes.

*Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $25
