If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Gordy is a very chill house dog with a happy, quirky personality. He has lived in a home with 2 seniors since rescue at 6 months old. He was our 9th rescue and second lab. Due to health issues, we are no longer able to care for Gordy. He is a sedentary pet but goes to Doggy Day Care 2-3 days a week to ensure he stays socialized as he is an only dog. He gets along well with his playmates. Gordy needs a fenced in yard in the worst way. It is unknown how he would interact with kids and cats, but my gut tells me it would actually be more than ok as he is a social, love bug. Gordy completed 2 weeks of training with Sit Means Sit. He will sit, stay, heel, come, place and down. He has 2 behavior issues; leash reactivity annd separation anxiety. He is a healthy boy with no special dietary needs except for your last bite of toast. He is missing his dad, who is in a skilled nursing facility and his mom who has a knee injury so he is in need of lots of love right now
