Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Home for the Holidays Adoption Promotion Participant: 50% off adoption fee 12/20-12/21
Aspen is a 2-year-old heeler mix and a true testament to resilience. She came to us from our Juneau County hoarding case with a fractured leg that had gone untreated and healed improperly. Ultimately, the kindest path forward was amputation—and Aspen has absolutely thrived ever since.
This sweet girl doesn’t let three legs slow her down one bit. Aspen loves a good adventure, enjoys being active, and approaches life with a joyful, can-do spirit. She’s friendly with other dogs, does well with kids, and is currently in a foster home where she’s showing just how wonderful of a family dog she can be.
Aspen has endured more than any dog ever should, yet she remains gentle, loving, and full of heart. Now, she’s ready for the one thing she’s always deserved: a family of her very own to love her for the incredible dog she is.
Could Aspen be the missing piece in your home? 🐾
All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-dogs

Our adoption process prioritizes accessibility, equality, and inclusivity. An application can be completed online or in person, ensuring accessibility for all potential adopters. Additionally, our application is available in Spanish to cater to a diverse range of applicants.
Once an application is submitted and approved, we facilitate adoption meet-and-greets on-site at our shelter's adoption center. This allows potential adopters to interact with the animals they are interested in and make informed decisions about their adoption.
Overall, our adoption program is designed to make the process as smooth and inclusive as possible, ensuring that each animal finds a loving and permanent home.
