Pemi is wonderful - loving, joyful, healthy, and extremely smart and well-trained. She is adventurous and loves hikes, swimming, and playing. She is a great off-leash hiking companion with fantastic recall. As much as she loves adventures outside, she is equally happy curling up on the couch or by the fire, and spends most of her days snoozing. Pemi is extremely clever, knows a range of commands, and ignores distractions when focused. She loves to learn new tricks and is eager to please.
As much as we love Pemi, she requires a specific environment to be her best self. She exhibits resource guarding with other dogs and needs to be the only pet in the home. Additionally, she is not suited for life with children. This became clear last month when, amidst the stress of a move to a new environment, she bit our newly mobile son as he approached her food bowl. Pemi is looking for an adult-only household where she can enjoy adventures and snuggles without the unpredictability of little ones.
