Meet Cassandra 💛🐾
Brown & gold tabby | Spayed | Certified Survivor Queen
Cassandra is a stunning brown-and-gold tabby with gorgeous marble swirls and spotted markings that make her look like a tiny jungle cat. She’s spayed, healthy, and officially ready to retire from survival mode and step into her spoiled house cat era.
🌼 Her Story (aka: How She Beat the Odds)
Cassandra had a rough start outdoors and somehow managed to raise five kittens while still practically a kitten herself. (Yes — she deserves a medal.)
When her babies were trapped for safety, Cassandra was still nearby, and she soon made her way to the Catty Shack too. She arrived underweight, flea-covered, and absolutely starving — not just for food, but for love. And once she realized she was safe? Her sweet, gentle personality came shining through immediately.
She’s resilient, young, and proof that even the toughest beginnings don’t dim a loving heart.
🤎 Personality & Home Life
Cassandra is affectionate, gentle, patient, and deeply snuggly. She loves being close to her people and thrives in a calm, loving environment. She’s done wonderfully around adults and children in foster care and communicates her happiness with soft meows and sweet little chirps.
She does prefer having her own space and can be a bit territorial with other cats, so she’d do best as an only kitty or with very slow, thoughtful introductions. She hasn’t met dogs yet, so any doggy roommates would also need a gentle intro.
🎮 Her Favorite Things
🐭 Toys: Mice toys — endlessly entertaining
🌳 Nap Spot: High on the cat tree, supervising her kingdom
🍗 Treats: Churus (her ultimate weakness)
😅 Cutest Quirk: She’s not a big fan of being picked up (it makes her a little awkward), but she loves pets, cuddles, and being right next to her humans
🍽 What’s on the Menu
• Purina ONE Adult Dry (Chicken)
• Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers (Chicken)
💛 Why Cassandra Is So Special
Despite everything she’s been through, Cassandra still trusts. She still loves. She still leans in for pets and curls up with her people like she’s always belonged there.
She’s affectionate without being clingy, playful without being wild, and snuggly in that calm, comforting way that makes a house feel like home.
Cassandra is ready for a forever family who will give her what she’s always deserved: safety, stability, full bowls, and unconditional love. And in return? She’ll give you her whole heart. 💛🐾

More about this rescue
🐾 Our Mission at Billy the Kidden Rescue 🐾
Billy the Kidden Rescue is a VDACS-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2014 and supported by a network of over 60 active foster homes across Hampton Roads.
Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce the feral cat population in our community by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens—transforming them into loving, adoptable pets and placing them in safe, forever homes.
💙 Our Heart is in TNR
We are proud advocates of TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return)—the humane, effective method of managing community cats. Through this program, feral cats are:
✔️ Trapped
✔️ Neutered or Spayed
✔️ Vaccinated
✔️ Ear-Tipped (as a universal sign they've been fixed)
✔️ Returned to live safely in their outdoor colonies without contributing to overpopulation.
We are actively working to promote legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads.
🐱 Feral Kitten Socialization
Our feral kitten socialization program is one of a kind—with a 90% success rate in helping feral-born kittens become affectionate, in-home pets. Through experienced fostering, patience, and love, these kittens learn to trust, play, and thrive indoors.
💪 Get Involved!
We’re always looking for passionate animal lovers to join our team. Help us make a difference by becoming a:
Foster
Volunteer
Transporter
TNR Trapper
🎁 Support Our Work
Donations keep our rescue running, and we’re always in need of supplies! Check out our wish lists to see what’s needed most:
