My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

****COURTESY LISTING FOR ALL PAWS K9 RESCUE****

Are you looking for your adventure dog who will spend all day with you out and about and then curl up with you to snuggle after a long day of exploring?

Then look no further:

Meet SKIP!

Gender: Male
Weight: 50 lbs.
Age: 1-2 yrs. old
Breed: Supermutt/Shepherd Mix
Energy level: Medium/High
Master skill: Mid-Air Ball-Catching

Skip is a 50 lb one year old spare-parts-mixed-breed pup who loves people, dogs, playing ball, going for walks, running around the yard, snuggling, napping, treat puzzles, stuffies… let’s just say Skip loves life.

It’s clear that Skip once had a home and some training. He’s got all the basics down and is now leveling up by going to group classes and doing pack walks.

He is crate-trained and has no problems while you’re away, but he would prefer to sleep with you at night. Skip loves to snuggle, draping himself across your legs, or snuggling his big head against your chest.

Skip is an athlete and loves any chance to catch some air under his paws. He loves to play and would probably enjoy dock diving, flyball, and other dog sports. But if he can’t get any organized sports in, then wrestling and running with another dog or playing fetch satisfies him.

Skip really is the whole package:
• Housetrained
• Crate trained
• Dog friendly - loves playing with other dogs and has excellent dog communication skills
• People friendly - wants to meet every person on the street and become friends with them
• Treat-, Toy-, and Affection-motivated (but also can be squirrel-motivated), so easy to train, but also can get distracted
• Good in the car
• Good on a leash
• Can settle when needed
• Master cuddler
• Uniquely handsome

Skip would love a place to run and leap about--with a dog or chasing and catching a ball or toy and playing with you. He would love his forever person to take him with them wherever they go from the coffee house to the beach, and he finds fun and joy in every moment.

Skip is neutered, up to date on shots, has had dewormer and flea treatment and is being fostered in Burbank, CA through All Paws K9 Rescue.

You can see more videos and photos of Skip and his foster experiences on instagram @tuckermcnally

If you think you may be Skip’s life adventure partner, please contact Skip’s foster mom at wolfheart93@yahoo.com for an application.

More about this rescue

My Way Home Dog Rescue is a small group of volunteers located in and around Portland, OR, helping one dog at a time. Dogs are housed in volunteer foster homes to assess their behavior and level of training, and to develop their basic social skills. They often have exposure to other pets and people that they would not get in a shelter setting. The stresses of group living in shelters sometimes masks a dog's true personality. We want our dogs to shine and strive to make the best match possible.
