Additional adoption info

We have an amazing team of behavioral specialists that rehabilitate feral kittens into loving pets. We use specialized foster care givers who are trained in feral cat care. The transformation these kittens go through is magical and by adopting a Kokua Cat, you have truly saved a life and helped an entire community. Adopting from our organization is a way to rescue the kittens who need love most.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We are an online adoption service. When a client finds a cat they are interested in, they submit an application and go through an interview process. At that point we will bring the cat to their house and do a home check and let the client meet the pet. If everything goes well, we can approve the adoption and sign the contract. The adoption process can be completed at that time and the cat/kitten can be given to the adopter immediately.

More about this rescue

Kokua Cats is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit feline rescue based in Albany, Oregon, dedicated to transforming feral, stray, and vulnerable cats from at-risk street life to valued family members. Our work combines hands-on rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption with community education, wellness programs, and outreach.

Our activities include:
• Intake, medical care, spay and neuter services and socialization of feral and abandoned cats
• Adoption services with ongoing support for families
• Barn cat placements for unsocialized cats unsuitable for home life
• Public outreach to stop the feral cat crisis, including free Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs, vaccinations, trap lending, and hands-on education on humane trapping and colony care

Mission: To reduce feral cat populations humanely, provide safe foster care for survivors’ pets, and find loving, forever homes for the most vulnerable cats and kittens in our community.
