My name is ARVEE*!

Meet Arvee, the little black panther. Arvee arrived to the Shelter as an injured stray found at a local RV park (hence the name!) Medical staff observed that he was think and had a wound on his tail upon arrival. After a several days of medical observation, Arvee has been cleared for adoption. His tail wounds are healing nicely and he has gained weight since his arrival to the Shelter. Staff have observed that Arvee is a mellow fellow and is more of a sidekick – watching the world go by and interacting with people when they come up but not necessarily the most outgoing. Due to his prior injuries and personality, Arvee would likely thrive as an indoor kitty with safe access to the outside (if any) through a catio set up. A home with another cat may be a fit with a slow, thoughtful introduction.

Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
