Rigby was found scavenging for food in 20-degree weather on a freezing Monday morning. Cold, hungry, and scared, he still trusted enough to take treats and climb into the car, where he rode quietly as if he knew he was finally safe.
The shelter has been overwhelming for Rigby. He is a smaller, scared young dog who really needs help building confidence. Outside the kennel, Rigby shows his sweet nature. He is very treat-motivated, knows sit, walks nicely on leash, and checks in often. He loves peanut butter, Kongs, did great in the car, and had a positive leashed interaction with another young dog.
Rigby has already survived so much. What he needs now is a safe, reassuring, and comfortable place to call home, where he can finally relax, build confidence, and feel secure.
