Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Scary Movie is a 4-month-old female Doberman Pinscher with a not-so-scary story of strength, resilience, and heart. She came to APA! as an urgent medical pup after experiencing trauma, and she’s been bravely bouncing back ever since.
Scary Movie recently had a spay surgery and treatment for a fluid-filled pocket on her back (a seroma), which was successfully drained and is healing well. She’s also recovering from pelvic fractures that are stable and healing nicely. The best part? She’s walking well, eating like a champ, and has a great prognosis for a full, happy life.
For now, Scary Movie needs a calm home where her activity can be limited—no running or jumping—while her pelvis finishes healing over the next few weeks. She can meet and socialize with other dogs as long as play stays mellow. She’ll go home with medications and has a recheck scheduled for 12/28/25 for suture removal and to reassess her mobility.
Scary Movie may have had a rough start, but she’s ready for a happy ending with a loving family who will help her heal and grow. If you’re looking for a loyal, resilient puppy with a sweet soul, Scary Movie is ready to steal the show.
