Mystery is currently in a foster home, and not housed at the BCAS building, please place an application to show interest and give us your contact information to move forward.
Mystery is part of a surprise litter that was born at BCAS to a young Momma who was so skinny she didn’t appear pregnant. After everyone got over their surprise and shock of 3 unexpected babies, they all were quickly placed in a foster home to grow. Now that he is bigger it is time for him to write his next chapter.
Mystery is a lovely brown tabby who should be a medium haired kitty grown up as he already has some little fringe on this tail, ears, and legs. His defining physical characteristic is that he was born with a bob-tail- where the other half went, we don’t know. It’s a mystery…..
He is a quieter more mellow personality and appears to be a gentle soul. He gives soft purrs and is a good balance of cuddle and explore. An interesting personality trait he has is that he likes feet and will often sit on my feet and wrap around my ankles, so beware he can be a little fuzzy trip hazard. Mystery will play with just about anything, but he seems to particularly enjoy the spring toy, the ball tower and a good box (what cat doesn’t?).

The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
