My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alvin and Theodore
DOB 3/27/2025- Alvin (orange tabby)
DOB 4/7/2025- Theodore (Siamese)
Not brothers, but definitely love each other and have matching energies. Their favorite pastime is chasing each other and bolting up and down towers. Alvin loves to lay on your lap and get pets and scratches while Theodore enjoys sitting right next to you getting love. Alvin is one of those 100% fun-loving goofball adventurous kitties that enjoys having fun. Theodore has the sweetest little meow that will melt your heart. He loves it when you scratch down his back. He will stick his little tongue out while making biscuits- absolutely precious.

All of our foster kitties are raised in foster homes, are up to date on vaccines for their size, spayed/neutered, FELV/FIV tested and microchipped.

Additional adoption info

As a rescue, Springfield Kitty Cat Shack Rescue volunteers get to know the cats they care for and can share their knowledge to help you find your perfect forever fur baby.

Please keep in mind that cats are sociable creatures, and sometimes two are better than one. Playmates tend to lower the amount of trouble a single fur baby might get into when they are bored due to busy schedules or long work hours.

We will choose the best applicant for each kitty and reach out to that applicant.

More about this rescue

Springfield Kitty Cat Shack Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Jacksonville, Florida. We are a small volunteer-run non-profit that had humble beginnings in 2019.

Our rescue's mission is on taming feral and sick kitties too old to go to ACPS or the Humane Society.

This is no small undertaking! The need is great, and we help as many cats and kittens as we can. Sometimes this means rescuing a sick kitty, trapping feral cats and kittens, and other times it’s giving a pregnant mom a safe place to have her kittens.

Before starting the rescue, we were involved in TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) activities, fostering, and volunteering at local shelters in Jacksonville, FL.

During the summer of 2018, we focused on fostering semi-feral kittens ( the sick and the hissy) through local shelters and then on our own. Due to our success of re-homing so many cats and kittens, we decided to make it official in December 2018.
