Sophia is a super sweet senior who arrived at that shelter on 12/16/25 with her bestie Rosie. They are both precious. Sophia is a little shy and prefers to stay close to you when walking for comfort. She is gentle and very treat motivated. Sophia is eagerly waiting to meet her forever FAMILY so that she can enjoy her golden years.
Sophia is 12 years old and weighs 52 pounds. She is UTD on vaccines and will be spayed and microchipped when adopted. Sady, she was not given monthly heartworm prophylaxis and Sophia did test positive for heartworms. Please know that with proper treatment and care she can go on to live a long and healthy life. Cobb County Animal Services was established in 1971. As part of Cobb's Department of Public Safety, we serve the entire county, protecting the residents and animals of Cobb.
The mission of the Cobb County Animal Services Unit is to enforce state laws and county ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; educate the community on responsible pet ownership and wildlife care and provide housing and care for homeless animals, while coordinating their adoptions when possible and humane euthanization when adoptions are not possible.
