Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Moxie is just as sweet as she looks, with her soft eyes, bouncy gait, and goofy but loving personality.
Moxie is a young lady: only about a year and a half old! She is your classic "puppy" (well, basically a puppy!) with her love of squeaky toys and zest for life and love apparent during all interactions with her.
Unfortunately, Moxie was hit by a car, and was desperately needing emergency medical care when she was rescued.
Because of this, she does have a leg injury, and is available through our "Adoption Sleepover" program, which is a foster-to-adopt agreement, while she finishes her medical care here at Lollypop Farm.
Basically, you'll get to give and receive all of the Moxie love and snuggles, and we'll take care of her medical expenses...everyone wins! All we ask is that you are able to bring her back to Lollypop Farm's clinic for her recheck appointments. Our adoption counselors and clinic staff can walk you through the ins and outs of this process!
Moxie has been very pro-social with other dogs, but because of her injury, she isn't able to safely participate in a proper dog playgroup here with us, unfortunately. If you have a resident dog at home, you can certainly still foster-to-adopt Moxie, but we'll ask that playtime is lowkey until she is cleared for full activity by our clinic. She has an unknown history with cats at this time.
Please do not let Moxie's injury deter you from coming to meet her, she truly is so full of love, laughter and goofiness that you'll definitely be agreeing with us on this: Moxie is well worth the "work" of taking on a medical-care friend.
Come to Lollypop Farm and meet with Moxie today!

More about this shelter
Mission:
Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, works together with our community better the lives of animals through justice, prevention, and life-saving care.
Vision: A just and compassionate world for all animals.
Lollypop Farm is not your typical animal welfare organization. We don’t classify ourselves as merely a shelter, simply taking in and rehoming pets. Rather, we are your partner. We’ll work with you to build a just and compassionate world for all animals–to save animals from abuse and suffering, to find a resource to keep your pet, to guide you in adopting a new pet, to make the tough decision to say goodbye to your family friend or to share information on how to help animals in your daily life.
