Athena is a 7-month-old, 42-lb brindle mystery mix with a steady presence and a thoughtful way of moving through the world. She’s athletic, leggy, and observant — the kind of dog who watches first, decides second, and usually gets it right.
Athena doesn’t rush introductions. New spaces earn a pause. New people earn a look. Once she’s decided everything is acceptable, she settles in easily and shows a sweet, affectionate side without being demanding. She’s comfortable sharing space, enjoys calm companionship, and does well with both people and other dogs.

Interview
We will call you and your references from your application.

Home Check
We will check our your home and you will meet the pet. The pet will also meet other family members (human and animal) at this time.

Sign Adoption Contract
If everything is “a go”, you will then fill out contract, pay adoption fee and welcome your new family member home!

We are only able to adopt to families who reside in Indiana at this time. We have approved volunteers in this state only, who are able to support our adoption process and travel within 100 miles of Indianapolis.
A completed application is required to initiate the adoption process. Remember to complete the entire application; leaving blanks will only delay the process. If you rent, please include landlords name and phone number. Also, please include your vets phone number, not just their name. The application is free to submit!
