My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mikey, a 2-year-old cuddle enthusiast with the softest fur and a heart full of love 💕. This handsome little guy is a total sweetheart who adores attention and melts into your arms when you snuggle him. Whether he's lounging in a sunny spot or quietly following you from room to room, Mikey brings a calming, affectionate presence to any home. He's gentle, endearing, and oh-so-precious—basically a lovebug in cat form 😻.

Mikey had a bit of a unique journey—he developed a condition called stomatitis that led to most of his teeth being removed. While this is something more common in older cats, Mikey is a young trooper who took it all in stride! Cats with this condition usually bounce back beautifully, and Mikey is already enjoying his meals like a champ and ready to live a happy, full life. His spirit is unshakable, and his ability to adapt just shows what a resilient and special boy he is 🐾.

Mikey gets along well with other cats and would do best as an indoor-only companion, where he can enjoy cozy naps and gentle play in a safe space. He looks like a domestic shorthair to us, but as always, breed is just a guess based on his appearance. If you're looking for a sweet, soulful kitty to share your heart and home, Mikey might just be the one to steal your heart 💫.

More about this rescue

The vision of Animal Compassion Team has been years in the making, shaped by hard work, heartbreak, and an unwavering love for animals. Despite the challenges, we chose this path because saving lives matters—it's that simple. Every dog, cat, and animal we rescue reaffirms our commitment to making a difference. In August 2009, we took a leap of faith and became a 501(c)3 non-profit, ready to turn hope into action. Each life saved makes every effort worthwhile, and we look forward to sharing countless happy endings.

Our Mission Statement
To provide a safe haven for animals of all breeds and species through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for humane treatment, promote the human-animal bond, and educate about kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership, emphasizing spaying and neutering. Together with other rescues and shelters, we strive toward a no-kill nation.
