Hi! I'm Frannie! The happiest and most joyful cocker spaniel you'll ever meet. I can't wait to meet my new family and become part of your lives forever.
I'm still a puppy with an endless supply of puppy energy and love to give to my entire family. I love everything soft and snuggly: blankets, pillows, beds (human and dog), sweaters (do you know how cold it is in these MN winters???) and even more than all of that stuff, I love to snuggle and cuddle on the shoulder or in the lap of my humans. Chin and ear scratches are the BEST and sometimes they even make me fall asleep. Oh - and I love to give you puppy kisses, too. I hope you like puppy kisses - they're just one way I show you how much I love you!!!
I'm a very good eater, too (food is awesome!!) I'm currently on the same schedule as my foster brother and sister, so I eat breakfast each morning around 6 a.m. and dinner is served promptly at 5 p.m. - or else my foster Mom is gonna hear about it from me and my foster siblings!! I also get these awesome things throughout the day called treats - and man are they yummy. Usually I get them every time I go outside and potty and whenever I "sit" - but if I had it my way, I'd have full access to that jar of treats all day long. They are soooo yummy.
Speaking of potty training...my foster Mom says I am a super fast learner and have nearly mastered my potty training skills since coming to their family one week ago. It's super important that I have a routine and as long as my family and I stick to that routine, I am perfect (duh - does she know who she's talking about? I'm obviously perfect all the time!)
I don't even mind my crate if my foster Mom and Dad have to leave for a while - after all, the big human house is a bit overwhelming for a young pup like me, so my crate makes me feel safe and with one of my stuffie toys and my blankets, I snuggle right in until they're back home. If you'll let me, I'd prefer to snuggle right next to you in your big bed at night, but I will also sleep in my kennel if needed.
TOYS!!! Have we talked about toys yet?!?! I LOVE them. LOVE. THEM. Especially the stuffies with crinkle paper in them. They are the best and I will play with them with another dog or on my own. I like to stash my toys and will also steal my favorite human's socks, sweatshirts and slippers to add to my stash pile. I don't even chew on them - I just like to have them near me if I can't have my human nearby.
I am so excited to meet my new family and am ready to open my heart and share all my love and joy with you. We're going to be the best team.
**Frannie is still learning to walk on a leash and came to us very scared/skittish of a leash, so if her new family has a fully fenced backyard where she can run, play and potty safely while she continues her leash training that is ideal. She is still pretty skittish when the leash comes out and I'd hate to see her bolt unexpectedly if she was in a backyard without a fence while she's still learning.**
