Gia is the sweetest dog, she’s cuddly, and overflowing with joy. She loves everyone she meets and truly knows no strangers. Even when she’s excited, Gia is easy to redirect and settles into her best manners. She is potty trained, crate trained, and kid friendly, though she’d do best with older kids (5 and up) due to her size and strength when playing. Gia sits politely to be petted, gives the best full-body hugs, and is perfectly content snuggling on the couch or relaxing with a chew/bone once playtime winds down.
This happy girl has great manners and a heart of gold. She’s comfortable with baths, nail trims, and even being dressed up — no outfit phases her. Gia walks best with a gentle leader, she can be strong on leash and reactive to other dogs, mostly out of excitement. She’s responding well to training and consistency. Gia is dog-friendly depending on the energy of the other dog and with a proper slow introduction would likely thrive with other dogs, a male companion might be best. Gia is tolerant of cats when she sees them on walks but it’s uncertain how she would do living with one full-time.
At her foster home, Gia free roams for up to 8–9 hours without many issues and also does well crated. She loves running, rolling in the grass, playing tug of war (her absolute favorite!), deconstructing toys, and then curling up for a nap afterward. She would love a home with a yard.
