My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chirp!
Female • Spayed • 2 Years Old Adoption Fee: $145

Chirp is a gentle, affectionate girl who came to WARL after her family learned a neighbor planned to throw her out. Despite that rough start, she has remained incredibly loving. Her good Samaritan that kept her for 3 months describes her as the perfect lap cat, the kind who melts into your arms, soaks up full-body pets, and even enjoys those rare tummy rubs most cat`s refuse.

Chirp thrives in a calm, predictable environment. Quick movements can make her nervous, and she may swipe if someone approaches too fast or gets too close to her face. So she’s looking for a slow, quiet home with adults only and no other pets. Once she feels safe, she blossoms into a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be held, cuddled, and welcomed into your bed at night.

If you’re ready to give a sweet, sensitive cat a peaceful place to land, Chirp may be your perfect match.

Interested in meeting her? Visit the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays between 12–4pm. If those times don’t work, email cats@worcesterarl.org to explore other options.

More about this shelter

Since our founding in 1912, the Worcester Animal Rescue League (WARL) has been dedicated to the care of the animals who provide so much for their human companions. Without your support, however, nothing we do would be possible. WARL is a non-profit organization and your donations of money, time, supplies, homes, and love are vital to our cause and the lives of the animals in our care. Our sincerest thanks.
