My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

He is a smart, sensitive Border Collie acquired at 8 weeks old from an auction. His birthday is March 19, 2024. He is loyal, athletic, and highly intelligent, and he loves to run and explore. He thrives on structure, routine, and predictability, and does best when his days follow a consistent schedule.

Recent life changes and an injury have increased his anxiety and reactivity, particularly during stress, confinement, or handling. He can become overly focused on his surroundings and has difficulty listening when other stimuli are present. Because he is high-energy and driven, he needs experienced handlers who can provide clear boundaries, consistent training, and appropriate outlets.

This decision is heartbreaking, but due to behavior changes and my current pregnancy, I am unable to safely provide the level of structure and activity he needs to thrive. He would do best in an experienced, structured home that understands anxious or reactive dogs.
