Meet **Fitzgerald**
Fitzgerald is a 7-month-old, 35lb Australian Shepherd with all soft edges and bright intentions and the kind of eyes that look like they’re already listening. Fitzgerald loves kids the way dogs love sunlight--open, patient, happy to stay right where the warmth is. Other dogs are just friends he hasn’t learned the names of yet. Cats? He notices them, tilts his head, considers the mystery… and then decides peace is easier.
Fitzgerald’s real talent is belonging. He wants to be wherever the people are, close enough to feel the quiet shift of breathing, close enough to curl up beside you like he’s always been there. He’s curious without being pushy, affectionate without asking for anything back, the kind of dog who makes a house feel steadier just by lying down in it.
He’s still young, still figuring out the world, but his goal is already clear: be everyone’s friend, keep the room gentle, and save you a spot on the couch. If you’re looking for a companion who fits right into the spaces between your days, Fitzgerald is ready to come home and stay awhile.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
