My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say HI to “ANA” whom we also call “Princess Ana”; you know the “Princess Anna of Arendelle” from the Disney’s movie “Frozen”? Sadly, Ana comes to us from a wonderful, loving couple who are experiencing the wife’s failing health.

Ana is a beautiful black, Miniature Poodle who weighs a healthy 14 pounds, stands 13” tall (floor to withers) and was born November 26, 2022. Her sire is a CKC registered Champion, but Ana is not AKC or CKC registered.
Not a problem as her high intelligence, outgoing personality and loving disposition certainly displays the characteristics of good breeding.

Ana just LOVES attention. She loves men as well as women, will follow you around the house wanting to know what you’re doing and if she can help! Just sit down and she will immediately jump into your lap to give you kisses. Ana is a “Velcro” Poodle. But while I’m on the computer, she will lay patiently in a dog bed watching me.

Doing the Poodle “zoomies”, playing with her toys or having you throw any toy/ball to play fetch (video) is also what this precious girl just loves to do. When friends or family come, she’s the first to meet and greet everyone so they will pick her up and love her.

This is a quiet girl who rarely barks and is a perfect girl in our home (housetrained). While she has always been an only dog, she does enjoy playing with other dogs who want to play with her.

Ana will come immediately when she is called, loves her toys, food, treats and greatly enjoys her daily 1-mile walk as then she can see more SQUIRRELS!

*A SECURLY FENCED YARD will be required as Ana has always had one and will not relieve herself on a leash.
*Preference will be given to a family with Poodle experience.

BUT PLEASE:
*NO aggressive or assertive dogs (they scare her and me).
*NO young children.
*Like most rescue groups, we do NOT adopt our Poodles to homes more than 1 day’s drive (round trip) from our location here in central Minnesota.

Ana has been Veterinary checked healthy. She was recently spayed, teeth cleaned along with the removal of some baby teeth by our Vet. She is up to date on all of her vaccinations, worming and has been microchipped and registered. Her heartworm/Lymes/Ehrlich/ Anaplasmosis (4DX) test was negative.

As with all the other cute Poodles we have adopted, Ana’s adoption fee is 1 million, trillion, zillion dollars. However, for the right family her adoption fee is $600.00 which includes $41.00 for our 7.375% Minnesota state sales tax and helps pay for some of her Veterinary expenses.

Also included is her leash, collar, dog coat, a bag of quality dog food, dog food container, dog dishes, treats, various toys, a cute toy box, her wire crate, a soft dog bed with a blanket and lots of good information to help your Poodle’s adoption move forward on the right paw!

Again, Ana is a very nice, smart and loving Poodle girl who wants and truly deserves a loving “forevermore” home.

Adult Poodles available for adoption from Picket Fence Poodle Rescue include:
*A Veterinarian Check
*All Poodles ARE neutered or spayed, which increases your dogs chances of leading a longer, healthier and happier life with you.
*Up to date on shots.
*Teeth Cleaned

We want your poodle "Adoption" to work!! If it doesn't work or for ANY REASON or for NO REASON you don't want the Poodle, we want the Poodle returned to us.

Our poodles are placed in good, loving homes, like yours, with the intention that they will receive the love and care that all God's creations were intended to receive.

We hope you understand that these poodles come to your home for the final day's of their lives: A "FOREVER MORE HOME!"

Go meet their pets

Please respect the fact that Picket Fence Poodle Rescue and Re-Home is not a Shelter, but a breed specific, home / family, foster care environment managed by volunteers here in central Minnesota.

We enjoy meeting with families interested in adopting one of our Poodles. However, everyone must understand that because we are NOT a Shelter, we do require an “Application For Adoption” to be filled out first. This helps us to determine if that Poodle is right for your situation and also used for our security.

As with most all Rescue Groups, our time is precious and our safety is important.

Sadly, it is the world we now live in so thank you for understanding and patience with us as we receive and go over the applications we receive for the Poodles who are available for adoption.

More about this rescue

PICKET FENCE POODLE RESCUE is a charitable and educational organization to rescue and supply Poodles with love, shelter, food, human companionship, medical care and spay-neuter services until permanent placement is secured into a pre-screened loving home, as long as the Poodle is not dangerous to humans or other dogs.

PICKET FENCE POODLE RESCUE will accept an adoptable Poodle who is either abandoned in a shelter, or purchased/rescued by any concerned person, or living with an owner who can no longer care for the Poodle. We also participate in rescue and placement of Poodles who are culled from Breeders or Puppy Mills.

PICKET FENCE POODLE RESCUE feels educating and informing the public about the commercial dog industry in America and about responsible pet ownership is very important as well as reviving the spirit of volunteerism in our great country.

PICKET FENCE POODLE RESCUE wishes to eliminate the euthanasia of any healthy, adoptable Poodles. We do not accept euthanasia as a means of population control for animals. We believe each Poodle's life is meaningful and each deserves a loving home. We take responsibility for each Poodle rescued and placed through Picket Fence Poodle Rescue for the rest of the dog's natural life.
