Echo is a sweet border collie mix who is about 1 year old. We adopted her from our local humane society and were unaware she was deaf until after we brought her home. We have done private training and she knows many hand signals. She is house broken and crate trained. She is progressing with walking on a leash, but is reactive to movement, as many herding dogs are. She struggles with resource guarding around food, which has been quite difficult with our young children, and is the reason we have made the difficult decision to re-home.
Echo is a smart and very quick learner. She loves to play with her flirt pole and go for hikes. She would make an excellent companion in a home that is child-free and experienced. We will send her crate, harness, and beloved toys with her.
