Who doesn’t love a good cookie during the holidays? Meet me, Cookie. I am the bestest Cookie in WNY! Originally from Texas, I traveled north with my buddy Denzel. We have been together 4 years but I would be ok without him by my side if there are humans to love on me 24/7! I just want to be with my people whether it be on your lap, by your side or at your feet. I am completely housebroken and love, love, LOVE to walk on my leash (but not far…I have little legs)! I live with a larger dog that I tolerate just fine but no cats for me…I try to eat them! I have met a boy who visits me daily and rubs my tummy so I think I would be ok with any age group.
Cookie:
• Is housebroken with a regular schedule;
• Knows his name, stay, come and no;
• Loves treats;
• Enjoys walking on a leash;
• Is dog-friendly;
• Does not “do cats”;
• Is not “yappy” but lets you know when someone approaches the house;
• Smart, fun and very entertaining!
Cookie would do best in a home where he is not left alone for long periods of time, especially if adopted without his buddy Denzel. Cookie is used to being in an X-pen or a gated off area at night but would be super happy to sleep in your bed! Cookie will need regular grooming to avoid matting of his long, luxurious hair. First you will need to submit an application on our website. Once your application is received we distribute to our volunteers to process.
Home Check
This visit is a non dog meeting where a volunteer will meet with you and the members of your household to discuss the adoption process.
Approve Application
Once you have been approved you will need to contact us via email or Facebook to add your name to the list for one of our dogs.
Meet the Pet
Once your name comes up in the order of approved adopters, the foster will contact you to schedule a meeting.
