My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Shorty

Shorty is a young Frenchie/Shih Tzu mix with a big heart packed into a perfectly sized body. True to his name, he may be small, but his love is anything but. Shorty is incredibly loyal, endlessly loving, and always ready to play. He’s the kind of pup who will happily follow you from room to room, curl up beside you after a long day, and greet you with pure joy every single time. Shorty is currently living in a home with cats, dogs, and children—and he adores them all. He thrives on companionship and would be happiest in a forever home where he can be included in daily life, spoiled with affection, and given plenty of time to play and cuddle. This holiday season, Shorty is dreaming of a family to call his own—one that will love him as deeply as he loves in return. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and devoted companion to make your home a little warmer and your heart a little fuller, Shorty just might be your perfect match.

More about this rescue

We began rescuing dogs 6 years ago when I realized that so many healthy dogs were being euthanized in our local shelters. Shortly after I began to rescue kitties as well. We estimate that we have rescued over 2500 animals since we began. They all deserve a chance, a life and a lot of love.
