My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pingu aka Jinx

Pingu is all about people. This social guy prefers proximity to his people whenever possible. (He thinks it’s always possible.) He’s happy to do his own things when you’re nearby. Pingu loves to be held and will ask to be picked up with a gentle paw on a leg or chest — and when he’s being held, he loves to give hugs. While people top his list, Pingu has other interests: snoozing in his carrier, toys that encourage jumping (like wand toys and ceiling toys), and wrestling with his siblings. Pingu has a loud, low purr that can be heard from across the room.

Pingu is fully litterbox trained and current on all vaccinations. He’s easy to handle, tolerating getting his nails clipped and taking medications like a champ. He does well with kids of all ages and cats. He hasn’t had any experience with dogs, but we expect he’d do great with them. Pingu will be ready for adoption following his neuter appointment on January 7.

Pingu must be adopted with his sister Popsicle. Have room for even one more? Pingu is in a foster home another younger kitten, Little Dipper, and the trio has so much fun together. We’d be ecstatic to see all three kittens find a home together.

Our adoption process starts with an application and moves onto a meet and greet with the animal and foster, then finalized with a home check before finalizing the adoption. It can take up to 4 days for applications to process. Our adoption fee can vary based on species and age.
This is a volunteer program and we do not have resources to contact every applicant at times – if you have not received a response within one week, please check the website for status updates on the pet you applied for.

More about this rescue

Mother Gaia Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, licensed, foster and volunteer-based rescue for pets in need of new homes. Our mission is to rescue animals in Colorado shelters and place into foster homes where they can receive medical care, training, and love until they’re ready to go into their forever home – many of which come from areas with overpopulation and high euthanasia rates.
