We call her PHAT (Pretty, Happy, And Talented) because she is the ultimate low-maintenance roommate. Katie is a professional Couch Potato who truly appreciates the slow life. While she enjoys a joyful strut around the yard to survey her kingdom, her favorite place is right by your side.
Bonus: She has the most endearing bark—it sounds like a little hound who has lost her voice! You won't hear it often, but it’s precious when you do.
The Ultimate Roommate
The Best Sleeper: Katie is a dream at night. She sleeps soundly on her bed and doesn’t make a peep. She’s such a fan of beauty sleep that you might actually have to wake her up in the morning!
A Gentle Soul: She is a remarkably delicate eater and takes treats from your hand so softly you’ll barely feel it.
The "Katie Lean": Her signature move is walking up and leaning her body against your leg for a "standing hug." It’s her favorite way to say "I love you."
Everybody's Friend: Everyone (human and canine) LOVES Katie...puppies climb all over her, other dogs walk right up and she's wagging her tail the entire time. One of her foster fur sibs adores her and plays with her like she's her big sis. She never snaps, she never makes a peep because she is SO easy going.

Katie is a "sturdy" girl with a heart of gold. While she’s currently working on her fitness (and looks great in a sweater!), she is truly zero trouble. She can be a little shy about stairs, but with a tiny bit of encouragement, she handles them just fine. She is a kind, quiet, and perfect companion.

Submit an application on-line. An Adoption Counselor reviews the application. The applicant is contacted within 1-2 days.

Approve Application
If, after a few brief checks, the application is approved, the applicant is notified and a meet is arranged.

Sign Adoption Contract
If the meet is a success, the applicant registers the microchip and signs the Adoption Contract. Then the adopter and dog go home!

TrustRescue has the option of pre-approving an applicant. This allows the applicant to have an application in for 6 months and can notify the Adoption Counselors when they see a dog on-line, they would like to adopt.
