I might not be a Big Red Dog, but I am the best Clifford around.
I’m the kind of dog who stays right by your side — sleeping in with you, curling up at your feet while you work, and walking politely next to you on leash. I’m mellow most of the time… until I get excited. Then my inner cartoon character comes out: hops, rolls, clumsy zoomies, and full-body joy that will absolutely make you laugh.
I love dogs around my size and would thrive with a playful canine sibling who can zoom with me and help keep teaching me the ropes. I don’t care about squirrels or distractions, and I’m great in an apartment — that’s where I live now! I follow a simple routine, sleep through the night on my dog bed, and don’t need a crate to feel secure.

💪 Tug of war = I will win
🧠 I know sit, down, stay & touch
💛 Belly rubs + “good boy” = instant happiness
Because I have zero awareness of my own head and body weight, I’m best suited for a home without young kids — I love hard and sometimes forget I’m not tiny.

More about this rescue
We are a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue and sanctuary outside Augusta, Maine. We take animals from high euthanasia rate shelters and overcrowded shelters, and find them forever families. We also work with our communities on initiatives that are important in animal welfare, like spay/neuter programs and food pantries.
