My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✨ Meet Chilly

Male • Jack Russell Terrier / Beagle Mix • Born 12/09/2021 - 4 Years Old • 24 pounds
Healthy • Vaccinated • Neutered

Chilly is a lovable, happy boy with a wagging tail and a heart full of devotion. At four years old, he’s the perfect age — past the puppy chaos but still playful and full of life. With the curiosity of a Beagle and the charm of a Jack Russell, Chilly is a wonderful mix of fun, affection, and easygoing companionship.

Personality

Chilly is friendly, affectionate, and people-loving. He enjoys exploring on walks, following interesting scents, and then curling up nearby when it’s time to relax. He has a joyful spirit without being overwhelming and fits beautifully into a consistent routine. Chilly bonds strongly with his humans and thrives in a home where he’s treated as a true family member.

Breed Info (Jack Russell Terrier / Beagle Mix)

This mix typically brings together:

  • Intelligence and problem-solving skills

  • A strong nose and love of sniffing adventures

  • Playful, curious energy balanced by affection

  • Loyal, social personalities that enjoy companionship

Chilly is well-suited for a home that enjoys daily walks, light playtime, and quality bonding moments.

Owner Responsibilities

Chilly’s future family should be prepared to:

  • Provide daily exercise and enrichment

  • Maintain structure, routines, and basic training

  • Offer companionship, patience, and love

  • Keep up with routine veterinary care

Even though Chilly is healthy, adopters should take him to their own veterinarian as soon as possible after adoption.

Things to Consider Before Adopting

  • Confirm landlord or HOA approval

  • Consider your schedule and ability to provide daily interaction

  • Remember that terrier/hound mixes benefit from enrichment

  • Adoption is a lifetime commitment, not a short-term decision

The 3-3-3 Rule

The first 3 days allow Chilly to decompress, the first 3 weeks help him learn your routine, and the first 3 months are when trust fully forms and he truly feels at home.

✨ Why Chilly Will Be a Great Addition

Chilly brings happiness, loyalty, and warmth into every space he enters. He’s the kind of dog who makes ordinary days better just by being there. If you’re looking for a loving, well-balanced companion who’s ready to give his whole heart, Chilly is waiting for you.

More about this rescue

We are dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters, strays, owner surrenders and hoarders. We have been saving animals since December 2016. We hold weekly adoption events at various pet stores and pet expos. We hire dog walkers to walk our dogs and we have volunteers who help us weekly. Many of our dogs go to boarding and training to become adoptable and work on their behavioral issues. All our dogs are assessed to find a great family match.

All dogs receive all necessary medical attention and all dogs are vetted.
