My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ohhhh my goodness! Do we have a treat for you! Meet Samson! The handsome, water loving, curly tail wagging, most affectionate guy ever! He is a young, gorgeous, canine who won’t be available for long!

We believe that Samson is a lab mix of some sort who is around 2 years old and weighs approximately 60 pounds. Due to him being a rescue, age and breed are our very best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. He is truly a Texas special. But those are the best type of rescue breeds!

Does your family appreciate the water life? Well Samson would love to join you on all of your adventures! As you can see in his video, the water life is his favorite life! He would have spent all day in the giant puddle in our yard if we would have let him! I can definitely see this boy living it up in the lake, beach, or pool!

Samson is very dog friendly and loveddd spending time with us and the other dogs during his visit to Rustic. We introduced him to all sorts of dogs with various temperaments and he did great with all of them! He especially took to the high energy dogs who wanted to race around the yard with him. Samson is a natural born runner and effortlessly can stride for miles. (Running buddy anyone?) He would do well in a home with other medium/ high energy dogs that know when it’s time to settle down. As far as kitties go, Samson is ready for a challenge and will invite kitties to test their speed with him. Due to this we recommend that he lives in a home that has no feline friends. Because not everyone wants a track race all the time lol.

I also appreciated how affectionate he is! He doesn’t know his size and wants to be in your lap or by your side at all times. He loved it when we introduced our 5 year old friend Ellie to him!. He wanted to say hi and take treats from her like a proper gentleman. He would do great in a home with older children that know how to properly enrich a big boy like himself.

Samson is the type who needs a yard to live his best life. He would do best in a home with a fenced yard over an apartment lifestyle. He is definitely the guy you want to take on walks around the neighborhood or hikes up the beautiful mountains. He has so much life to give and so many memories he is ready to share with his forever human!

Does Samson sound like the boy for you? Apply today!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family
Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
