Meet Buddy – Your Big-Hearted Adventure Pal!
This is your ol’ pal, Buddy! A loyal goofball with a heart full of love and legs made for adventure, Buddy is that perfect blend of silly, sweet, and soulful. At around 3 years old and 56 pounds of pure personality, he might be a pittie/lab mix—but all we really know for sure is that he's 100% lovebug.
Buddy recently spent time in a foster home with a retired couple living the RV dream—and he fit right in like he’d been doing it forever. Whether strolling the campground or cruising around the block, he was always ready to go when the door opened. He kept a nice, steady pace on leash and made a fabulous walking buddy.
While he’s no longer in that foster home, his adventures there showed us just how special he is. He loved hanging poolside (and occasionally dipping a toe in the shallow end), chilling in the shade, and keeping an eye on the action like a part-time lifeguard. It was the quiet, country life he really thrived in—he doesn’t need wide-open spaces, but he sure appreciates the calm that comes outside of city life.
Check out buddy in action and then come back for more. We know you want to!

Buddy is more of a people’s pup than a dog’s dog. While he was polite and friendly when meeting other pups on-leash, he preferred to hang nearby and graze rather than dive into playtime. He’s the kind of guy who’d rather hang with his humans than roughhouse with the pack. So, he’d do best as the only fur-child in the home—and no kitty siblings, please!
Buddy is a total goofball who loves to play with other dogs — he’ll romp, chase, and zoom around with a big happy grin! He’s super social and enjoys having doggy friends for playdates. However, when it comes to sharing his home, Buddy prefers to be the one and only pup. He can be a little weird about having other dogs in his space, so we think he’d do best as an only dog in the household — with plenty of fun outings to play with his buddies outside!
When we spent a full day together, Buddy completely stole the show (and a piece of my heart). Despite his size and strength—he definitely needs an experienced handler—he walked beautifully by my side. And I’ve got noodle arms, so that says a lot!
We had a blast at the park! He got the zoomies (the joyful kind that makes you laugh out loud), played on the playscapes like a little kid, and was super curious about the cars driving by. He waited patiently at the stop sign like a gentleman, taking it all in. We spent ages just hanging out and laughing. He even snuck in a little nap with me, curling up for cuddles and sneaking kisses before splooting out like a big teddy bear across the bed. Pure comedy gold.
Every time I tried to put his leash on to go home, he’d roll over dramatically and give me the most pitiful look—as if to say, “Please don’t make me leave yet!” Talk about tugging at the heartstrings.
Buddy is a dog who will bond deeply with his people, but he needs someone who understands that kind of connection takes trust, time, and patience. He’s shy at first, but once you’re in his circle, his personality bursts open like sunshine. Because of that, he’ll do best in a home with older, dog-savvy kids who understand how to give him the space he needs to shine.
We’re looking for a home for Buddy with experienced dog owners—no first-timers, please. He’s strong, both in body and spirit, and needs someone who can match that with calm confidence and consistency.
At the end of the day, Buddy isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for a best friend. A sidekick. Someone to snuggle, to make laugh, and to adore with his whole heart.
If you’re an experienced dog lover searching for a loyal, hilarious, big-hearted companion… Buddy is your guy.
