Meet Butter Beans — the little adventure noodle with satellite-dish ears, face sprinkles, and a heart full of pure joy.
One look at him and you’ll instantly understand his name: he looks like someone sprinkled teeny tiny butter beans all over his nose and cheeks. They’re the cutest speckles ever created. Scientists (me) have confirmed they increase his charm by 300%. Look at his face. LOOK at those speckles. His freckles are a whole personality. They’re cute. They’re powerful. They are his greatest weapon.
Butter Beans is a playful, snuggly, people-loving young guy who greets the world with curiosity and tail wags. He LOVES attention. If you pet him, he will melt into you like warm butter. He enjoys belly rubs, face scritches, and basically any form of “human touches me = best moment of my life.” He’s confident meeting new people, loves men, loves women, and basically thinks every human is his personal cheering squad.

He’s still young, still learning, and still goofy — the perfect combo.
He came from a life with very little structure, so now he actually thrives with it. He loves having a routine, someone to look to, and a home that gives him good guidance. And he responds SO well — he’s smart, eager, and already shines with training. He’s crate trained, house trained, rides beautifully in the car, and is the ideal size for scooping into the backseat for an adventure. He LOVES exploring outdoors and will trot around like he’s on an official mission. Perfect hiking, exploring, patio, walking, road-tripping, buddy!
Dog-wise, Butter Beans is a whole character.
He’s confident, social, and LOVES other dogs, but he is also the kind of guy who tries to be the hall monitor. He doesn’t want chaos in his kingdom. He wants everyone to follow the rules… his rules… which change every five minutes. Because of that, he does best with dogs who are confident and sturdy. Big, calm leaders? He loves them. Goofy, respectful buddies? Yes please.
Butter Beans just needs a doggy friend to teach him how the doggy world works, someone confident and sure of themselves! With the right dog friend (a confident, balanced one), he actually plays great, listens to corrections, and enjoys being part of the pack.
However, Butter Beans would also be A-okay as your one and only pup! He is very loving and loyal to his humans, and does not need any doggy friends to thrive!
Cats? Absolutely not. Butter Beans said, “I respect you… from over there… far away.”
Kids? YES!
He’s affectionate, silly, snuggly, and LOVES attention. As long as the kiddos can handle his enthusiasm and floppy hugs, he’d be a fantastic family dog. We will absolutely do further kid testing just to be positive. But so far, Butter Beans is giving all the amazing kid-friendly signs!
Apartment life? Not for this boy. He’s 1) vocal, 2) energetic, and 3) capable of narrating his entire life story to your neighbors. A house with a fenced yard is truly his happy place. He’d prefer running and playing fetch with you in the yard anyway!!
Butter Beans LOVES toys, LOVES to explore, LOVES to cuddle, and LOVES routines. He’s bright, loyal, and always down for a car ride, a backyard zoom, or collapsing dramatically onto your lap for snuggles afterward. He’s silly, he’s sweet, he’s sparkling with potential, and he has more personality than any dog has the right to have.
If you want a hilarious, loving, freckle-faced little best friend — one who will make you laugh daily and snuggle you nightly — Butter Beans is ready to bounce his bean-speckled self right into your heart.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
