Shadow is the kind of puppy who immediately wants to be your best friend. From the moment she met us she was all about affection and leaning in for love, she happily returned every pet with tail wag and puppy kisses.
Shadow loved playing with the toys. She was super energetic when she had a stuffed animal in her mouth and went crazy playing tug-of-war. She can toss the toys around herself and entertain herself. She also could enjoy a good cuddle session with her people when it’s time. As well as booty scratches she favors them.

Shadow is a six month old puppy. She is black lab and pitbull mix-36 pounds of pure cuteness. Shadow is still learning the world and figuring out her place. She enjoys playing with other dogs and was friendly meeting them but super high energy dogs were a bit overwhelming for her. She did best with calm, medium energy pups that like to play without going overboard. She’s a puppy who wants to play she is just still mastering her skills and building confidence.
I think she would enjoy having another dog in the home to play with and help gain her confidence. A house with a yard would be preferred since she does love to play, but she could also do well in an apartment as long as she’s getting proper exercise and enrichments.
Shadow met our cat and was very excited and wanted to play with him so a cat free home would be best for her considering she could possibly get a little too playful with a cat.
Shadow is an affectionate playful, eager to learn puppy. Shadow loves and did great with kids, but because she is still a bouncy, playful puppy older kids would probably be the best fit. She is also still working on her leash manners, which is totally normal for her age and something she’ll improve on with time and consistency. Shadow is very treat motivated and she already knows how to sit for them which will make training fun and rewarding.
Shadow is a great family dog and could thrive with proper love and training. She will be the light in someone’s family.
