Pika is an adorable little fluff ball with the cutest round face & chubby cheeks! She was living outdoors with her siblings until a few weeks ago but she’s quickly learning to love the indoor life after being in a foster home. She absolutely adores the adult cat in the foster home & she’s very comfortable around dogs. Having a confident, friendly cat has been hugely helpful in giving her more confidence around people. She is still very shy but is learning to play with toys (her favorite is a ribbon wand toy!) She would thrive in a home with at least one other cat and with someone who understands that she still needs time and patience as she comes out of her shell. It won’t be long before she knows how wonderful the good life can be!

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!
The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.
Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.
We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.
Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.

Animal Friends Alliance is a non-profit, adoption guarantee cat and dog shelter and low-cost spay/neuter clinic.
Our spay/neuter clinic performs surgeries on both cats & dogs, and we also offer low-cost vaccination clinics every week.
Our organization's goal is to do everything in our power to prevent euthanasia due to 'homelessness'.
