My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Loza. I came to the shelter because my family is moving and can’t take me along. It’s a hard goodbye, but they want me to find another safe, loving home. I’m a friendly but shy girl at first. New people and sounds can make me a little nervous, and I may hide until I feel comfortable. Once I trust you, my playful and affectionate side comes out. I’m smart, curious, and definitely have a mind of my own. I enjoy playing (strings are my favourite) and spending time near my people, even if I’m not always a lap cat. I like affection on my own terms. I’ll happily accept pets when I want them, and when I’ve had enough, I simply walk away. I don’t love being picked up, but I’ll tolerate it briefly before hopping down. I’ve lived indoors only, with two adults and two children. I’m generally shy and tolerant around kids, especially the ones I know, but I can be uneasy around unfamiliar children. I’ve never lived with other cats or dogs and would be open to meeting new friends with proper slow introductions. I’ve never been aggressive, though I’ve had the occasional accidental scratch during play. I’m a sweet, gentle companion who just needs patience and understanding. With a loving person who gives me time to feel safe, I’ll be a loyal and affectionate friend.
