Dolores is a total sweetheart who stands out as the most social of all the cats trapped during a large TNR event. Thanks to an amazing neighborhood caretaker working with Trash Cat to trap and vet a larger colony, Dolores got her chance—and she’s taken to the good indoor life like she’s been waiting for it.
She’s affectionate, purry, and pleasantly talkative, and she truly enjoys being around people. Dolores loves pets and cuddles and will happily soak up attention. She’s also very food and treat motivated, which makes it easy (and fun) to win her over and continue building trust and routine.
Dolores does well with other cats, but she also has the kind of people-focused personality that could make her perfectly happy as an only cat - especially if her humans are around enough to give her the attention she craves. She would also be happy being adopted with one of the other cats from her colony, Ethel or Dot. Based on her easygoing, social nature, we think she would likely do great with respectful kids and dogs as well.
Dolores is estimated to be about one year old. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Please apply to adopt this sweetheart today!

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

Interview
We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
