My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey everyone, meet Gianna! Oh Gianna, what can we say about this cat? There is the obvious of course, that she is absolutely perfect and adorable with her golden eyes and lustrous black fur, and that she has the body size of a young catten though she is full grown. Then there's the less obvious things about her that we hope to translate through these photos and words.

Gianna has a joyful, calm demeanor and love for human companionship. Whatever fear and anxiety
she felt while outdoors trying to stay safe, fed and warm seemed to have melted it all away after her first night with her foster. She spent the better part of the next day making biscuits on her pillow, almost as if she couldn't believe she was touching one again.

Whatever event that landed this tiny house panther outside in the first place has made no impact on her insistence on snuggling and trusting humans. Giannna thrives on playful interactions, even if a bit clumsily, tripping up a bit while going after a wand toy. Her favorite activities seem to be napping and purring.

Gianna is a fine and content feline, tolerating the hubbub of household affairs without issue. The occasional loud noises and commotion of human activity will not faze her! Gianna would do fine with respectful kiddos and her reaction to dogs is unknown. She has not been around other cats but we suspect she should do ok with proper introductions!

Gianna is estimated to be around three years old. She has been spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Up your cozy factor this winter, and apply for this master snuggler/baker today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
