Icicle is a 9-year-old sweetheart who came to us as a stray, but you’d never know it from her gentle, loving nature. This sweet old lady is all about the simple pleasures in life, cozy naps, quiet moments, and plenty of churus (her absolute favorite!).
Icicle doesn’t ask for much. She’s content to relax, soak up affection, and enjoy being pampered. She’s ready to leave the stray life behind and settle into a warm, loving forever home where she can nap to her heart’s content and of course, enjoy many more churus along the way.
If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion to share peaceful days with, Icicle is ready to be your loyal nap buddy. 💙🐾

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
