HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email Cassandra at cjohnson@arl-iowa.org.
---
- Really cute, cheerful girl who likes squeaky toys and balls; if you toss them, she'll bring them back and lean against you while you pet her and tell her what a good girl she is!
- Likes playing with her toys while cuddling and is also learning that tug is a really fun game
- May need extra time to warm up to new people and things
- Smart, attentive and already knows sit; could use a little work on her manners, and adopters will receive 25% off ARL training classes to set her up for success in her new home
- Was mostly housetrained in her previous home and would occasionally have accidents; looking for a family who will continue working with her on this
- Was not a fan of the kennel/crate in her previous home
- Can be a bit unsure of other dogs, but may enjoy a dog of a similar activity level (dog intro recommended)
- Has lived with teenagers and is looking for a teens-and-up home right now
- We don't know her history with cats
- May have allergies (more info at ARL)
This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you're interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
