Meet Lulu!
Lulu is a beautiful (and soft) rat terrier mix. 3 years old and 13 pounds. She is fun and playful. Loves to snuggle and enjoys belly rubs. She appreciates having other dogs in the home, but also loves her human time. Cautious around new people and takes a little while to warm up to men. Housebroken (outdoors and pads in an emergency), already spayed and up to date on vaccines. Current on heartworm meds.

Lulu is in our direct from owner program, meaning that she will be adopted directly from her current human, who can unfortunately no longer care for her due to her own medical issues. There are no fees for the adoption (though donations to Chesed Rescue are appreciated). Chesed Rescue will background and vet check all applicants before setting up any meetings.

Applications are online at www.chesed-rescue.org. All applicants are background and vet checked. We are looking for stable homes.

Meet the Pet

Approved applicants are invited to meet the dog or cat and see if we have a match. If so, next is a home visit & introduction to other pets

Adoption fees range from $75.00 to $400 for a fixed, blood-tested, vaccinated cat/kitten, and $200-$700 for a dog. This includes all age appropriate medical care and microchipping.

More about this rescue

Chesed Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted animals. “Chesed” is often translated as “loving kindness”. Acts qualify as “chesed” when they are motivated by a spirit of generosity, not obligation.

Chesed is a small rescue, where we get to know each animal as an individual. Our placements focus on not just finding excellent homes, but excellent homes that are the right fit for each pet. Our adoption criteria is strict. We work hard to get these pets to safety, we donate many hours to their care, and will not settle for anything less that a great home for their future.

In addition to our adoption and education programs, we manage the Kobi center, which provides those less fortunate or those on a fixed income with necessary pet supplies, food and medications.
