My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Disclaimer: This animal is not in Anderson custody. and is a courtesy post to help a member of the community rehome directly without shelter intervention. Any adoption inquiries should be directed to the owner at sjgoodmill@gmail.com and/or(708) 217-7247. Anderson Humane makes no guarantees regarding medical or behavioral status of this animal, and the current owner is solely responsible for disclosing any challenges or concerns.

We found Flea as a stray kitten and have had him for 9 years. Flea’s favorite activities are being brushed, rolling in catnip and hanging out in his catio. He is a pretty friendly cat and does enjoy hanging out with his humans. He lives with other cats and dogs. He is particular with the cats he lives with and appreciates respectful dogs. Flea started having issues near the end of my pregnancy with my first son. He was spraying all over the house. We tried many different anxiety meds, feliway, and built him his own catio he could access 24/7. Unfortunately he is not happy here despite all the interventions. Flea would love to spend the second half of his life in a quieter home with less chaos and maybe even one where he can have his own catio. Flea is a good boy and after 9 years, it's hard to find a new home for him, but know he could be happier elsewhere. Reach out to us to give this beautiful boy a better home.

Services such as our Low-Cost Vaccination, Dental, and Spay/Neuter Clinics offer affordable veterinary care options, preventing owners from having to give up their pets simply because they can’t afford care. On the horizon are additional programs to keep pets in homes, such as a pet food pantry, affordable pet training options, and temporary housing for pets when families are in crisis.
